Completed Monkey

I’m the type that generally likes to work on socks slowly. But sometimes, the mood overpowers me to finish a sock as fast as possible. Such was the case with Monkey.

Completed two days ago, whilst watching Scarface for the first time (which, by the way, I didn’t find all that good. Perhaps I’m odd.)

Knit with Meilenweit Mega Boots Stretch in colour 707, on 2.5mm (US 1) bamboo needles.

The pattern was altered slightly to fit a bigger foot. I plan on emailing Cookie A. and letting her know of the change I made for a bigger foot, so she can do what she likes with it.

The pattern shows up really well with the subtle colour changes of the Mega Boots. I’d eventually like to pick up more of this yarn for socks with patterns such as this.

And of course, as not to be someone with second sock syndrome, as per that blasted Jaywalker

The ball has been wound…

And knitting hath commenced. I’m sure this will be my sock I tug along to Worldwide Knit In Public Day, which, by dumb luck, I shall be spending with the Pirate, who will be up to visit Ottawa for a convention the same weekend.  What luck! Going to see about bringing out some of the locals, too, and sit at the Highlander watching the world go by as we knit.
