Rotations and fat birds

Completed things just brighten my whole day!

First, I finished the first RPM sock…

…and have cast on for the second. No slouch, no sir.

I also knit a friend, for a friend.

He is knit from BitterSweet’s Crazy Kiwis free pattern, and is for my friend Corrie for her birthday, as she adores kiwis.

Spiral-y

Just some progress on RPM to show.

Starting the heel now. Such an easy pattern, and so well-suited for constantly-variegating yarns like this. If it wasn’t already obvious, I’m doing the top-down, flap heel version. I’m a traditionalist.

Monkey, complete.

The other day, I completed the last 5 rows to complete the pair of Monkey socks.

It’s amazing. I think socks with a story behind them have a deeper meaning than regular ol’ socks.

Monkey, back from vacation

It’s here! It’s here! It’s finally back!

For those who may be confused, my second Monkey, about 6 rows to being finished, got lost at a convention I attended in July. Myself and my friends, some of whom avid knitters themselves, scoured the hotels, asked convention staff, and re-traced my steps with no avail.
