First off: I finally found my notes for Jack’s Beanstalk Blanket! This means the pattern cannot be far away. My sister the Pirate and I are up to our usual shenanigans. She has recently gotten into Doctor Who, which makes me love her all the more. KnitPicks recently unveiled the new colours in their Felici sock [...] Goodness, I’ve had a one-track mind. For me, and knitting, this is strange indeed! Even the Jaywalker has taken a back burner, and hasn’t seen much progress since I last posted it. I’ve been putting all of my time and focus into one project, one that I spent hours designing, measuring, swatching, and now finally knitting. A [...] Goodness! Why do I not update here more often. I wind up with a million things to write about. Firstly, how about a new sock. This is a Jaywalker (natch) knit in Regia Canyon Color, in the Beach colorway. The RPM aren’t done yet. I enjoy switching up my socks a little so the monotony isn’t there [...] Just some progress on RPM to show. Starting the heel now. Such an easy pattern, and so well-suited for constantly-variegating yarns like this. If it wasn’t already obvious, I’m doing the top-down, flap heel version. I’m a traditionalist. Pondering the next baby project, too, as I only have two projects on the needles right now (!!) and [...] The past little while has been very busy! The time that I have had to knit has consisted of hauling an easy-to-multitask project in my bag, which has lately been the Rowan Felted Tweed scarf. Even then, I’ve not made enough progress on it to make a seemingly big difference. I did, however, treat myself to [...] It would seem that my body has succumbed to injury, again. I cannot stress enough that the only good thing coming out of this one is a voracious desire to knit, and lots of time in which to do it. I’ve started working on Jayne hats again. For those who don’t know, the coveted Jayne Cobb [...] I have a new camera! It’s a Canon Powershot A570 IS, and it’s really spiff. I have, of course, been wasting most of its battery on taking yarn detail photos, because the old camera couldn’t do such things. Here’s the possum fur yarn, redux. And a detail shot. I’ve decided not to publicly post the babythings until the package is recieved, so you all must wait. To quench the knitting thirst, Here’s the progress on Boogie, namely the back portion: The colour matched my skirt. Awww. That’s one whole ball, right there. I’m glad I [...] No photos yet. My SD card reader on my laptop seems to fail to work, and I cannot find the USB connector for the camera. Thus, the photos are helplessly trapped on the camera until further notice. The good news? Ninja Boyfriend has the same laptop as me, and thus the same card reader. I shall [...] I knit up a gauge swatch for the recycled yarn, to use for the Boogie vest. It turned out to have some more stitches to the inch than the pattern. Oops.
