It’s been quiet on the homefront! I’ve been very busy with managing my home businesses. It’s extremely rewarding, but certainly doesn’t leave me with much personal time. The personal time I do get HAS been spent knitting, and the stress relief is incredible. First off, some standard washcloths. Knitting these for some friends who have recently had children, [...] So, long story sideways, two days into the Olympics, I changed my Knitting Olympics project. The mittens will still happen, but not in that deadline. I have too many modifications to make. I switched to something doable in the time left: Zoe. I used to wear scarves/bandannas this way all the time, and I’d love a [...] Knitting. <3Like most, if not all knitters, I find knitting to be fantastic thinking time. I can sit with my knitting and some music on in the background, and sort out my thoughts. Granted, I sometimes pause to make some notes in my notebook, but the knitting goes on, still! I’ve been working on creating my own [...] No posts in forever. Been busy working, and knitting. With that last one being prominent, you’d think I have photos to show. Well… not yet. With not much time to run errands, I’ve not been able to get camera batteries. On top of that, the weather here has been disgusting. Rain and clouds. Not photo weather at [...] I’ve been hit with a bug. A bad cold bug. I’m pretty positive it happened when everyone visited for Winterlude. My body has a tendency to incubate viruses for a long period of time, generally three weeks or so. Given that, this one’s right on the money. It also is no coincidence that the Pirate has [...] This week has knocked me on my noggin. Just been very ill with some sort of flu bug, and between that and some house turmoil, it’s been a stressy week. Luckily, I have a little bedheaded pal who always greets me when I need a cheer-up. This is my chinchilla, Yuffie. She’s small and spazzy, and enjoys chilling [...] Jack’s blanket is sure to have arrived. I’ll need to call the sibling and find out. In the meantime, knitting has been a bit slow, but on the uprise. Between beating illnesses and getting some profitable freelance work done, the time for knitting has been narrowed to movie-watching. Luckily, that was the Christmas gift of the [...] Goodness, I’ve had a one-track mind. For me, and knitting, this is strange indeed! Even the Jaywalker has taken a back burner, and hasn’t seen much progress since I last posted it. I’ve been putting all of my time and focus into one project, one that I spent hours designing, measuring, swatching, and now finally knitting. A [...] Just some progress on RPM to show. Starting the heel now. Such an easy pattern, and so well-suited for constantly-variegating yarns like this. If it wasn’t already obvious, I’m doing the top-down, flap heel version. I’m a traditionalist. Pondering the next baby project, too, as I only have two projects on the needles right now (!!) and [...] |
