A few things of interest, in both my knitting and my life.

- There’s a minor but very important errata for the shark hat on its pattern page. I need to make a fresh PDF to make the change, since my original file went missing, Oops.

- I got a new job, and I adore it. If you’re local and have some pets, stop by sometime!

- Since I started my job, my boss went to Spain and brought me back some delicious ruffley scarf yarn, and I made a scarf with it.

- I’ve also made a few other things. I’ve made some progress on the Doctor Who Scarf (5 feet unstretched)…

- I finally have needles, and the pattern I want. I’m making a lace shawl. Using this yarn, and this pattern. I may be insane. I’ll get back to you.

- I have a design in mind for a new ferret sweater, designed for ferrets with bald bums due to adrenal disease, since my little girl was diagnosed.

- No knitting plans for the border collie, but he’s pretty darn handsome.

That’s about it for now. Life is good, I’ll knit more.

Things have been slow on here, I know. I’ve had a little man keeping me busy.

Things will be back to normal-ish soon, I hope. :)

Not much knitting lately, either. This makes me sad.

I’ve been doing a lot of moneymaking and planning.

See, I bought a house.

I move in August 15th.

Saving money is crucial.

I’m currently working three jobs. I’m very tired, but satisfied with my use of my time. I’m making enough money to save some, which is great.

Just… very tired.

I have to give some serious cred to my new knitting pal Debbie and her daughter Leah for working out the serious kinks that my scribbled-out pattern had. They knit not one, but TWO test hats for me, finding out different things with each attempt. I cannot thank them enough, they are seriously cool people. Thanks, ladies!

Just been very ill with some sort of flu bug, and between that and some house turmoil, it’s been a stressy week.

Luckily, I have a little bedheaded pal who always greets me when I need a cheer-up.

This is my chinchilla, Yuffie. She’s small and spazzy, and enjoys chilling out on my lap. She’s totally zen.

(She also got a good long dustbath after this photo was taken. No chinchilla of mine’s gonna look that frizzy!)

Spent the evening curled up with some tea, a few cookies, a movie (Boondock Saints, one of my favorites) and this.

The Noro that I got as a gift, becoming a Fake Isle hat. So far, the colours are knitting up -really- pretty. But I’ve come into a bit of a spot.

Check out that top row of loops. The two balls of Noro are coming up to dark points, at the same time. Oops.

The good news is, it seems to be evening out again, it just might take another row or two. I hope it will look good once I get to a more contrasting area again. Who knows, maybe it will flatter the hat! S’what I get for knitting with two (different) balls of Noro. Surprises abound.

I’ll go back to knitting on it. I might even throw in another movie. Lazy Friday nights? Oh yes.
